Voter Services

Voter Services Committee

Even though the 2020 elections are over, Voter Services will continue! Voter Services committee meetings will continue in 2021 with an emphasis on racial equity in voting. Please join us on the 3rd Monday of each month on Zoom, of course (!) as we discuss how we will approach this critical and timely topic. Contact committee chairs Heidi Schmidt Boyd or Sarah Wombacher Amundsen for the zoom invite. All are welcome!

Voter Registration Events

LWV WBLA participates in voter registration events at Century College and Stillwater, Mahtomedi, White Bear Lake and Forest Lake High Schools.

Over the summer during the pandemic, we registered voters at the outdoor Movie in the Park events at White Bear Township’s Polar Park, and we held outdoor voter registration events at area high schools in September.

We will continue to hold voter registration events outdoors as weather allows until COVID-19 is under control. There are also opportunities to help register voters at citizenship ceremonies.

Candidate Forums

Candidate Forums and Meet & Greet events, opportunities for voters in our constituent communities to get to know their candidates in upcoming elections, are held each fall, sponsored by the LWV-WBLA. In this year of COVID-19, all of our candidate forums were recorded on Zoom and made available for later viewing. Visit our Candidate Forums page for viewing information.
