Citizenship Ceremonies

Seven thousand new U.S. citizens are registered to vote each year. LWV Minnesota has a presence at naturalization ceremonies across the state, helping new citizens register to vote. The ceremonies are on the League Calendar. You can filter the list to only show the ceremonies by choosing Activity: Citizenship Ceremony.

Large ceremonies will be held each month at the River Center in St. Paul.  There will usually be a large ceremony in the morning for around 1,000 new citizens, and then in the afternoon, a second ceremony for about 500.    About 30 volunteers are needed for the River Center ceremonies. Plan to be there an hour before the scheduled time.

Upcoming Ceremony dates:

November 26, Saint Paul (10:30 AM and 1:45 PM)

December 11, Saint Paul (10 AM)

December 17, Saint Paul (10:30 AM and 1:45 PM)

January 14, Saint Paul (10:30 AM and 1:45 PM)

January 25, Bloomington (10 AM)
