LWV White Bear Lake Area, along with the League of Women Voters Minnesota (LWVMN), LWV New Brighton Area, LWV Roseville Area, and LWV St. Paul, in partnership with The Minnesota Humanities Center (MHC) is excited to host a Headscarf Story Circle to commemorate the anniversary of Women’s Voting Rights. The Headscarf Storytelling Day of Action will take place at the Minnesota Humanities Center, 987 Ivy Ave E, St Paul, MN 55106 (Located in Phalen Regional Park) from 10:00 AM – 12:30 PM.
This event includes brunch; dietary restrictions will be noted upon registration.
In line with the League’s national focus, the event’s theme is Headscarf Story Circle: A Day of Action. Excerpts from the TPT documentary, “Hope in the Struggle” about the legendary Dr. Josie Johnson will be featured. Speakers will include League of Women Voter leaders.
